Rancho Mirage has long been a retreat for many, with the renowned Sunnylands Estate, designed by Quincy Jones, serving as the “West Coast Camp David.” This project, located just minutes from Sunnylands and Palm Springs International Airport, aims to offer a blend of luxury and wellness.
Situated on 24 acres in a secluded private cove, the development will include a resort, spa, fitness center, restaurant, ballroom, and residential buildings. The design draws inspiration from the desert landscape, with a “desert vernacular” style that connects with nature through framed views of the surrounding foothills. The campus layout ensures privacy and tranquility, featuring meandering paths, reflecting pools, sculptural gardens, and retractable walls that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The project will offer 125 resort accommodations, including standard rooms, fitness-oriented rooms, and private villas, all with private gardens and outdoor showers. The 16,000-square-foot spa and fitness center will provide a full range of wellness services. Additionally, the development will feature 48 ultra-luxury condominiums, with owners enjoying exclusive access to resort amenities and a private pool.
Recently approved by the Rancho Mirage City Council, this project is set to establish a new benchmark for luxury resorts in the United States.
